Hello guys! long time no post! A few updates

Hey y'all! Sooo.. I'm at school...finished my finals.. and there's no early bus to take me home so I'm just stuck here for about an hour and fifteen minutes. :/ Meanwhile, I'm in the library blogging on the first ever fansite I officially blogged on! Those were the days.. Waiting on twitter for something exciting to happen to David and blogging it right away. One year later can be so different. I've gotten more social than before and yeah, well high school :)

I was watching American Idol yesterday (recorded) and there were flashbacks in the intro. You'd know what i'm talking about if you watched right? I saw like.. white clothing....and was like WAIT. I REMEMBER SOMEONE SNAPSHOTTED SOMETHING REALLY SIMILAR IN SEASON 9 WHEN DAVID WAS A PART OF THE TRIBUTE TO SIMON COWELL!

Yup, that's really the best thing ever.. to see David on my TV screen again. I really miss that. I wish I watched David on Idol. but I wasn't interested in American Idol then. BUT.. David DID get me watching it. at the start of season 9. And aghhh! This season of American Idol... I think I'm scared.. Mariah and Nicki... EEEK

Idols who have reached No. 1 on the Christian charts include Clay Aiken, Mandisa, Chris Sligh, Jason Castro, Kris Allen and Underwood.

Kimberley Locke was the first Idol to reach No. 1 on the dance charts, followed by Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson, Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Adam Lambert.

The Adult Contemporary and Adult Top 40 charts have also been dominated by Idols. Clarkson was the first to top charts in both formats, followed by Daughtry. Locke has three AC No. 1s, all with holiday songs. Underwood has also topped the AC charts, along with Elliott Yamin, David Cook, Sparks and David Archuleta, while Allen and Lambert have reigned on the Adult Top 40 charts.

In an unbroken string dating back to season one, which premiered on Fox-TV 10 years ago tonight, every Idol winner (see list below)  has had at least one No. 1 on the Billboard charts, from Clarkson to Phillip Phillips, winner of season 11. His version of  "Home" debuted on top of the Rock Digital Songs chart two weeks ago.

Happy Birthday, David Archuleta!

Season 7’s runner-up, David Archuleta, turns 21 years old today! We’ve watched David grow from a 16-year-old Season 7 Hollywood hopeful to an international star.

Last week, during a concert in his hometown, David announced that he has "chosen to serve a full time mission." Watch the emotional moment in front of a live audience where talks about following his heart. David just wrapped his My Kind of Christmas Tour, his last tour in a while, although he said "I'm not finished yet. I still have some time before I head out on my mission." On Christmas day, David released his music video for "Wait," which was shot in Hong Kong in November. Other big performances David has been a part of recently was Forbes' first-ever holiday concert, and he sang with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on PBS on December 13.

Six months after David's run on American Idol, he released his self-titled debut album, which peaked at No. 2 on three different Billboard charts and was certified Gold by the RIAA. The album included his hit single "Crush" and his second single "A Little Too Not Over You" which David co-wrote. Last October, David released a holiday CD entitled Christmas from the Heart. The album includes 12 Christmas songs covered by David and one original song, "Melodies of Christmas," that he co-wrote. During the summer of 2010, David released his first book, Chords of Strength: A Memoir of Soul, Song, and The Power of Perseverance. David put out another album, The Other Side of Down, in October 2010, on which he co-wrote an impressive 9 of the 12 songs on the album.
